Juan C. Somoza, Esq. is a Cuban born-Miami native, who graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law in December 2016 after putting himself through their fast track program. He was admitted to the practice of law in 2017. While attending law school, Mr. Somoza developed his passion for helping those with family law issues while participating in the Family Law Clinic. He was then selected to participate as a Senior Clinician, where Mr. Somoza handled a variety cases dealing with complex marital issues. Additionally, Mr. Somoza was a regular volunteer for Missing Link, where he provided guidance to victims of domestic violence. For his hard work and dedication to the underserved, Mr. Somoza was invited to become a Student Pro Bono Director and he finished with over 400 hours of legal pro bono work. Mr. Somoza was also a Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District, where he learned the ins and outs of court and became interested in becoming a litigator.
Prior to law school, Mr. Somoza attended Florida International University and obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. He also attended the University of Miami where he obtained a Paralegal Studies Certificate shortly thereafter.
